Leticia Cartier Oxley is a DC-based designer and researcher. A graduate from the MA Design Studies program at Parsons School of Design with a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Literature from Regis University, Leticia’s work situates itself at the intersection of design theory and practice.

As a designer, Leticia believes that the most important part of the research process is formulating the right question. Where early stages of design can be an iterative and seemingly esoteric process; she grounds her work in design models, storytelling tools, and ethnographic strategies that structure her humanistic yet data-driven approach to research.

At every stage of Leticia’s career, she has been a part of teams with a mission towards building a better future, be it through open access science to biofabricated solutions for sustainability. Leticia is driven by curiosity and creativity and at her core believes that good design comes from collaboration, the unlocking of creativity, and an approach to innovation rooted in hope and empathy.
